Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 August 2026
1. Who You Are Contracting With
A Grand Tour is provided by Hanso Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore. "We" and "us" mean that company. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not create an account.
2. What the Service Does
A Grand Tour is a tool for planning and recording long journeys: tours made of trips, with routes, itineraries, documents and images, on the web and in an iOS app. It is a planning tool, not a navigation system and not a safety device — see section 8.
3. Your Account
You need an account, and you are responsible for what happens under it. Keep your password and devices secure, and tell us if you think someone else has access. Give accurate registration details, and do not create an account on behalf of someone else without their permission. You must be at least 13 years old.
4. Your Content Is Yours
The tours, routes, writing and images you create remain yours. We claim no ownership of them. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your content, process it (for example resizing an image), and display it back to you — and, if you choose to make a tour public, to anyone you share it with.
That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we are required to keep something by law. You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, including photographs of other people.
5. Acceptable Use
Do not use the service to break the law, to infringe someone else's rights, to upload malware, to attempt to access other people's accounts or data, or to place load on it designed to degrade it for others. We may suspend an account that does these things.
6. What You Can Buy
An account includes one tour at no cost. Beyond that there are two purchases, priced in Singapore dollars and shown to you before you buy:
- A tour unlock — a one-off payment that adds one tour to your account. It does not expire and is not a subscription.
- The Planning Assistant — a monthly subscription that renews automatically until you cancel it, and which includes unlimited tours.
What you buy is attached to your account, not to the device or store you bought it from. A tour unlock purchased in the iOS app works on the website, and one purchased on the website works in the app.
7. Payment, Cancellation and Refunds
Where you bought it decides who handles it. This is the part people most often ask the wrong company about.
- Bought in the iOS app: Apple takes the payment. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in your Apple Account settings, not by us, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are requested from Apple and are Apple's decision — we cannot grant or refuse one on their behalf.
- Bought on the website: payment is processed by Stripe. You can cancel a subscription from your account settings, effective at the end of the current period. For a refund, write to us.
If we ever change a price, it will not change what you have already paid for. A subscription price change applies from the next renewal and we will tell you before it does.
8. What the Service Does Not Promise
We work to keep the service available and your data safe, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, and it is provided as it is.
Plan for the possibility that it is wrong. Maps, routes, distances, border information and travel times come from third-party data and from your own entries, and they can be out of date or simply incorrect. Do not rely on this service alone where being wrong would be dangerous — for a remote crossing, a border requirement, or a route in bad weather, check an authoritative source. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything on this page.
10. Ending It
You can delete your account at any time, from the website or the iOS app. Doing so deletes your tours and your uploaded files — section 5 of the Privacy Policy says exactly what goes and what does not. We may suspend or close an account that breaches section 5 of these terms, and if we do so without cause we will refund the unused part of a subscription.
11. Changes to These Terms
If we change these terms we will update the date above, and for a change that materially affects your rights or what you pay, we will tell you rather than rely on you re-reading this page.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law where you live.
